What is Video Production?
Content that is easy to consume, learn from, and be entertained with; it is no wonder why video is king. Video production is the art of filming video and editing it to communicate an objective with a primary target audience.
Video Production Experience
My video production experience ranges from creating video scripts and concepts to capturing the video to editing the video to communicate the desired message. The softwares that I have used to create and edit video has included Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and iMovie.

2019 Great Lakes Lender Conference (GLLC) Recap Video
The 2019 Great Lakes Lenders Conference was an event that was hosted by the Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The primary objective of the event was to educate Michigan’s small business lenders on the new lending programs available to Michigan small businesses.
Upon conclusion of the event, a date for the following year was already planned. In order to keep the exciting momentum gained from the 2019 GLLC, I produced the above video. Key objectives of the video included:
- Maintain and create excitement for the 2020 GLLC
- Showcase the opportunities individuals received by attending the event
- Communicate the planned dates for the 2020 GLLC
Cybersecurity Awareness Month Videos
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Throughout October of 2019 Small Business, Big Threat (the Michigan SBDC’s cybersecurity program) communicated to Michigan Small Businesses the dangers of not being cybersecure. This video series shared cybersecurity threats small business owners should be aware of and how they can protect their business’ data against those threats.
The above video is an example of one of the videos in the series. The objectives of this video included:
- Communicate the importance of physical data security in a business
- Communicate how to keep physical data safe
- Showcase the Small Business, Big Threat personality to clients
Learn from the BMW Genius Videos
As BMW continues to incorporate new technology into vehicles, BMW Geniuses are tasked to learn about the new technology so they can teach BMW clients how to use the it. In order to effectively teach clients about the technology found in their vehicles, I have worked with the Geniuses at Sharpe BMW to create easy to comprehend how-to videos. Each video focuses on one specific topic and communicate how to:
- Utilize the technology
- Customize the technology to individual needs
- Contact the BMW Genius with any questions
