Social Media Management

What is Social Media Management?

Social media management involves creating a strategy for an organization’s social media and delivering results from that strategy. In my experience, while it is important to keep up a presence on each platform, social media should be utilized as a medium to assist in delivering communications to a target market. When an organization is able to build an audience on social media, that audience should be viewed as an active and engaged target audience.

Social Media Management Tools

My experience in social media management has allowed me to gain experience with multiple social media tools. The following is a list of social media tools that I have utilized to increase following and engagement for various organizations.

Airtable

Airtable is not only useful for managing social media, but it is also useful for managing campaigns as a whole. I have been utilizing Airtable for managing projects since I have worked with the Michigan SBDC. Airtable has allowed me to breakdown projects, track those projects, and keep different assets organized as I work on multiple campaigns at once.

Buffer

While working at the Michigan SBDC I utilized Buffer to schedule out social media posts. This enabled me to create and schedule a post as soon as it was ready. Ultimately, the ability to schedule posts allowed me to focus my attention elsewhere without having to manually publish a post.

Sendible

Similar to Buffer, Sendible is a social media scheduler that I used at Sharpe Cars. Sendible has allowed me to keep up with posting on the 10 social media accounts affiliated with Sharpe while also working on other projects.
